Flue cleaning with machine drill. How long does it take

I had my flue cleaned . The guys were done in 10 minutes. They had machine. They said that's normal with machine?They do 10 jobs day

Flue hasn't been cleaned in 3 years but my usage is really just weekends so gets minimal usage and would have rearly have build up. Most guys who cleaned before said its generally a clean enough flue, yet these guys claimed it was filthy. I do think previous guys in past used machine.

A guy who I got recently cleaned my chimney with a drill and brush in about 15 mins. So maybe it's possible to do it in less.

The build-up all depends on the material being burned, whether it's wet or dry and whether the chimney has a good draw or not, or even different make-up of coal. So if you changed what you burn or burned wetter material, the build-up will be more.
