aye, universal 2 stroke oil, now your chainsaw, that beastie might be revving out to 13-14,000 rpm, she needs a quality oil designed for high performance engines by preference, the universal oil will do you are right about that, but quality oil might be better in the long run.

Well worth buying the litre of Stihl oil, it will mix 50 litres of petrol, or 45 if you want to be cautious

I understand that of course,but I came across 5 litres of the above for free in a shop closure so just wanted to be sure that oil above would be ok in a chainsaw.
