Who Remembers Their First Crush?

Just chatting with a friend the other day. We chatted about old times and one of those times was when we had our first crush. Well I remember mine quiet well. It was my English teacher who when I first saw her all my dreams had come true. She was in her early thirties with long brown hair blue eyes that shone like diamonds.

She also had a tan complexion which was natural and very unusual for an Irish woman back in the day. She was about 5ft 7 and spoke very eloquently.

When my beautiful English teacher would come around to check on our work which was usually an essay of some sort my heart would start beating fast as she leanened over to check my work. I use to spend most of the class day dreaming about her.

She went on to marry a very famous Irish folk singer from Co. Galway but unfortunately she passed away from lung cancer a few years ago.

So if you had a secret crush wether it be in the past or now. Why not share it. Of course no mentioning of names.

Maths teacher, just out of college - very well endowed as they say, hot. The eyes would just follow her around the classroom. She knew it of course and kept a fairly tight rein on things. My maths ability blossomed, unfortunately so much that I was promoted to a higher class. This was run by a dry dusty old bat and she made the subject tortuously boring. My maths ability declined proportionately. You could say it was the rise and fall in more ways than one, so to speak.

Girl in first year when I was thirteen, was completely mesmerised by her from the first time I saw her, I was completely invisible to her as only two girls in a class of nearly thirty , couldn’t stop thinking about her for about three years

The first one I can specifically recall. a neighbours daughter. Worked in the same retail establishment, I was about 16/17, she was about 19/20…

she was a remarkably pleasant, easy going, friendly ( great smile ), and chilled person, very intelligent…. Ended up becoming a doctor and now is a consultant in a hospital in a town in upstate New York… or was up to a couple of years back…she’d only be in her early 40’s….

she avoided all conflict with colleagues in the job, kept her head down and was unfailingly polite and good natured and respectful with anyone and everyone….. kinda shy but in a very cute way.

probably still the most naturally good looking girl I’ve ever witnessed in this lifetime…. I looked her up now and she must be married as there is no reference to her through her job or social media anywhere….so…Lisa G… wherever she is… absolute babe ( are ya allowed say that now ? )

That's a great memory to have. As you say she is probably married. Someone is a very lucky guy.

We didn't use the word crush back then but the first woman I took a fancy to was Whitney Houston. Seeing her in I Wanna Dance With Somebody was life changing.

First girl my age was Geraldine O. We were bf & gf for some of primary until she and her family moved to Mayo.

In secondary school it was Gemma C. Can't remember her surname cos she wasn't in my class. Time fades things eh. But I remember she loved horses, so I went to Eason's and bought her a horse poster. We never did become bf & gf.

I know exactly who you are talking about.

    You are not exaggerating.

I also had a first crush but that's as far as I'm prepared to go.

Serious crush, Jesus Christ she was gorgeous.wouldn't entertain me when I made a move, broke my heart. She had the world at her feet after LC , let some idiot into her pants got up the duff, career gone, fella gone turned into just another single mother, ended up in working in Tesco. Met her recently and by **** she had aged. Felt more sad than anything else.

If we are including Movies I think Beetlejuice came out in 1988 and I was born in 1978. And Winona Ryder awakened something in me that was definitely never there before.

My teacher in first class in primary school called Mary W from county Galway. She was the first woman i fell in love with. She was the first woman to give me sexual excitement! Sometimes she would sit down on her desk while talking to the class, take off her shoes and start rubbing her feet! I found that be a serious turn on! She was a wonderful woman. This was around 1993 and i'd say she was in her early 30's back then. I'd love to see what she looks like now, what's happened to her in the last thirty years and is she still alive etc.

A wonderful French girl that was on a foreign exchange with an Irish family. She was the ‘foreign one’ that summer.

she had this amazing tan and smelt of camel cigarettes which at the time seemed amazing. I wonder what became of her.

Before falling in love with my beautiful enginsh teacher in secondary school back in the early 70s one of my friends had a first cousin who would come over from the UK every Summer for a visit. I was 12 and she was around 15. She looked more like 18. She had long blonde hair beautiful blue eyes and a smile that would hypnatise you. I think my first crush was a celebrity; Christina Ricci. I'm the same age as her so it's all good in the hood. Still think she's a cracker to this day. IRL, I did have a crush on a neighbour, but being in the country it wasn't hard as there wasn't much else around. She was very shy. Eventually got the balls and asked her out. We dated for 7 years.

I have plenty of lustful memories throughout my years though. One teacher looked the spitting image of the cartoon Pocahontus. There was a local girl who was the best looking in the village, by a mile. Then secondary school happened and it opened my eyes to loads of pretty ladies who would never look twice at me. Had a serious crush on a good friend in school, but it wasn't two way unfortunately. Still had good times.

Going to an all boys school , both secretary’s in my time were pure rides .

And they knew exactly what they were doing , a short skirt and low top would have rise hundreds of teenage horns .

I thought most 'crushes' would have happened in primary school, not as young teenagers.

I remember back in 2nd class there was a girl I liked to see for some reason. I sat in the front row and she was at the back of the room so I barely ever saw her that year. I was placed beside her next year and never got to speak to her more than a handful of times. Christ what a f'kin prison primary school was, you couldn't even dare to look around. It was worse than a gulag

    I was in 6th class.

I've a twin sister and we went to single sex primary & secondary schools.

She was in my sisters class. Her name was Lorraine R.

She found out in 1st year that I really really liked her.

Don't think I barely ever said a few words to her.

I was mad about her for years.

Her name is Karina. My 1 and only crush. I've adored her for nigh on 20 years.

My first crush was Shirley Temple when I was 10. My first real crush was Marie when I was 11. We used to play chain tig at school. When I was 'on', I used to make sure she was the one I caught so that I could hold hands with her. I felt like there was a tingle or electricity when I held hands with her. Gloriouly happy days

When I was 10 I had a serious crush on an actress for the golden age of movies the 1930s. Her name is Janet Mc Donald. She was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen. As well as her beauty she had the voice of an angel. Whenever her movies were on TV I would get butterflies in my tummy. I had many a dream about doing a duet with Jane.

We have mutual friends on FB and she still looks good.

First celebrity crush was lead singer of The Bangles

Do you mean Jeanette MacDonald? She and Nelson Eddy were a pair of my mother's faves. Both gone since the mid 60s.

Similar here. My first crush was the neighbour's 15 year old daughter.

Her oul' fella was going mad over it. My parents tried to reason with him and tell him that it was just a harmless first crush but he still called the Guards and tried to have them arrest me.

Apparently 45 is "too old" to be having a first crush. Ageist bastards

*Before anyone gets too offended, it's obviously a joke. I'm not even that old

I'll admit it. The neighbour was Ivana. I bought her a house next door.

    Ivanka was my only crush

I do, a 15 year old girl I met on holidays when I was 13 myself. It was rather confusing, but quite magical.

First girl was when I was in school, I must have been around 6 or 7 years old. She was from a celebrity family and both her parents were well known in the irish media, although I had no clue of any of this at the time.

I just remember hanging out with her a lot at break, she had nice long brown hair and she was really tanned especially for an Irish girl (presumably from going on regular holidays abroad). Everything was cool but then as kids do, the other kids started to pick up on the fact that we were spending a lot of time together and the teasing started, the usual "Dramatic and X sitting in a tree, k.i.s.s.i.n.g." that kind of stuff.

We ended up drifting apart due to this, as any time we hung out the teasing would start again. Eventually she changed school a year later and I never seen her again, until later in life as she went on to become an Irish celebrity herself so would be on TV from time to time and in the news.

I wondered sometimes, if we met randomly would we still get on together or has her personality been totally changed due the celebrity lifestyle.

Kind of funny really, a lot of people on here wondering what happend to their first crushes but with mine I could just type her name into Google and I'm sure there is a wealth of information on what she's up to right now on it.

I think mine was at 10 years old. A girl in my class called Sarah. I was utterly besotted with her. At this point though I can't even remember what she looked like.
