Vapes are so dumb people walking around sucking on them every few seconds obviously seriously addicted. Wait for the next few years oh we didnt know how much damage they would do to us etc etc.

Here we go. Vapes have been around 20 odd years and are a great help at people giving up smoking. Some countries health services recommend them but the usual people who know feck all about them whinge. Hey, here's an idea. Let them all start smoking again and see how that annoys people and clogs up the hospitals.

They may have been around for 20 years no idea but they have exploded in the last couple of years. Tons of young people are using them now that never smoked in the first place. It seems like the marketing of these companies has really worked. The worst is people in public trying to hide it we are not blind we know you are an addict that every seconds has to suck on your vape. I have no doubht they are very addictive btw.

Here's an idea, maybe people like me who gave up smoking by using them 10 years ago but still do for the enjoyment of it actually are not addicted to SFA. I make ALL my own non nicotine flavoured liquid and coils myself using pharmaceutical grade items sourced in Ireland and enjoy a vape. You are the expert though so I will leave you have your say.

I'm sick of seeing them littered all over the ground. Whatever metals are in those things are very toxic to waterways.

I vape. Gave up smoking the day I got my first vape and never went back. I wish I didn't vape and yes I'm probably addicted but I haven't had a cough or a bad chest since the day I stopped smoking so I actually don't see the massive need. I had a full health check a few times always said I don't smoke and nobody ever noticed I vape. Lungs much better.

As for kids, they will always do dumb stuff like starting smoking and vaping and drinking and I'd rather see them vaping than smoking.

You see very few smokers these days to be honest.

If there were no vapes they probaly would not have taken up smoking vapes should have been banned from day 1. Lots of people gave up smoking without the need for vapes. Once smoking dies out we will hear now we have a huge problem with vapes so dumb.

My take on it is this:

If you have already been smoking and have not been able to give up, it is probably a lot more preferable to vape in continuance of getting your nicotine fix.

If you have never smoked, then it is just silly to take up calling as there is evidence to say it may cause serious health problems in certain cases.:

Very little evidence to verify their claims of the "harm" it does if any. I doubt the NHS would be advocating them if that was the case. Also not all people who vape use nicotine in their liquids. As I said, it doesn’t bother me about anyone baling near me, I’ve never stopped or tut tutted anyone vaping in my room, in my car etc, but for anybody to affirm that substances going into the lung, especially from a concentrated e-cigarette, can never do harm is a bit premature in the context of the rather recent history of vaping. Again, likely a lot better than continuing smoking, but rather immature for anyone to contemplate taking it up as a new pastime. That’s why people in public health roles have have particular concern for young people taking it up anew.

It doesnt take an expert to work out that inhale and exhaling smoke is not going to be good for you. People can make the argument it is better than smoking. The other side is all the people that take up vaping that would never have smoked. Then again that is their loss I suppose some people seem mortified using them trying to hide them others dont care a lot of people on here are also very sensitive about them also. A least with smoking people smoke it for five minutes and they are done. With these vapes they seem to suck on them every few minutes the addiction must be crazy.

Don't mind vaping myself but this craze of "disposables" is just bad. People shouldn't be using them as their main device, they should only be used in emergencies. I imagine it's probably getting close to us having to set up a specific processing plant to deal with all the discarded vapes.

Also getting accosted by teenagers every time i go to the local shop, asking if I'll get them a vape, is super annoying.
