    Hi

I'm a dual citizen, Irish and American passports. I moved to Europe 10 years ago and have been in Ireland for 5.

Planning on applying for a mortgage in Ireland next year. Am I likely to be asked for a Foreign Credit report for an Irish mortgage application. I've had some bad credit history in the past which I am concerned will impact my mortgage application in Ireland.

If you resided in an EU country all financial institutions within the EU have access to the registry in each member state, in such cases they will not need to ask you.
