Is it possible to get a limestone fireplace cleaned.

We have a limestone fireplace which is quite dirty as we previously burned smokeless coal. Is it possible to get them like new again and is there tradesmen that specialise in this? Thanks, Jos

You can get it sandblasted, I've had this done to a very old fire place and it turned out very well. The downside is that it's a very messy job, expect the dust to get everywhere.
