Biodiesel - where to buy?

Hey all, I've been reading up on biodiesel and learned that a) any diesel car later than 1995 can use biodiesel without modification, and b) HVO (a biodiesel) produces 90% less emissions than regular diesel. Also, there are several manufacturers of biodiesel here, so... where is it? So far I haven't found anyone who sells it in Wexford. Why isn't it everywhere?

Bio diesel and HVO100 are different things.

HVO100 isn't generally available to the public, but check your local home heating oil suppliers, or any filling stations that cater for truckers, if they have a truck section, that's where you'll find green diesel, ad blue and hvo pumps.

Biodiesel is already added to all diesel on sale at pumps, no one sells biodiesel direct as 100% biodiesel.

The simple answer to your last question is because it's more expensive than regular diesel. There have been calls to reduce tax on it to make it more appealing, but there seems to be little to no government interest in doing anything that doesn't involve electric.
