Need 240v source

    Hi,

    I would like to install an standalone MVHR unit (spec: 240V, 6W max, 0.05A max) and looking at a way to get a power supply to it.

    The closest power source is a socket and I am wondering if I could take from this. It is not a spur - only 2 cables connected.

    Anyone know if the above can be done?

    MHRV I'd guess. A standalone fan with a type of heat exchanger in it.

    Spurring it would include a suitable fuse to protect both device and cable, OP.

    6W is nothing, are you sure that's correct?

    A small PC fan is 6W.

    Some of these MVHR (and not MHRV like I said earlier) devices just move air over a ceramic heat exchange in a bidirectional or push-pull manner, meaning that it's just a small microcontroller and a fan doing the work. So yes, 6w could be correct.
