Had to turn off radio in van today could not listen to any more of it, that constant false laughing by the 2 lads on today fm the 9 to 12 slot does my head in, hard to find a decent station now days to listen, not a fan of your one on classic hits either and this what did Colin say to Lucy like just awful dribble, is it me or has daytime radio gone very bad.

I tuned out years ago, spotify works for me these days. No non funny people trying to be funny etc

I dunno... to each their own. Some double-header on air teams work, some sound forced.

Personally, I like Dermot & Dave ... but then (and this is for 'full disclosure' rather than 'name dropping'), I know them - have met the guys a good few times socially, and they're the soundest lads you could meet. The laughter may sound fake/put on to you, but it's actually genuine - there's nothing fake about these guys, they're just all about having the craic and making good radio. It's not for you - that's fair enough.

BBC6 Music. Needs to be streamed through the phone when in car but once that problem is solved you'll never look back.

No ads, no fake jokey stuff, just music and Djs and music info and more music.

Regular commercial daytime radio has been unbearable for years now.

Fake "bants" between presenters interspaced with vapid callers, repetitive ads, and the hourly misery news update.

Grand for Tipp FM or one of the regional stations but it just doesn't cut it for national radio. 2FM going down the pan with each day.

BBC radio 4 is a great station. Stream it live if ye can. No gormless gobshites talking scutter to fill time. I use Radio garden app on android you can tune to almost any station in the world
