So I have been in a fmaily plan for a few years, the last week a notification has popped up about renewal. I tried contacting the lead person in the family group but no reply so far, they havent been active on boards in a while either so I might have to do up a new family plan in the next few days.

Hi Folks, hanving issues with being able to register over last few days. Hoping someone on here could provide a steer. I've recently signed up to one of the family plans from a poster here. I was on a premium solo account previously, which I cancelled before attempting to sign up on the shared family plan. I was provided with the exact address and the invite link but it's failing to go through. I'm getting the following message " Our Family plans are for members that live in the same household". I've even set up a new Gmail account to no avail.

Is there a way to get around this or any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Does the family plan work if one user is in a different country?

Just got the email informing of a ~75% price rise to my Turkish Family sub (subscribed through Google).

Spotify AB is increasing the price of your subscription ‘Spotify: Music and Podcasts (Premium Family)’ from TRY 99.99/month to TRY 165.00/month starting on 12 November 2025.

    Based on todays exchange rate:

    • Old price: €1.97/month or €23.58/year
    • New price: €3.41/month or €40.96/year

Thanks for sharing this! That’s a really smart workaround, and it’s great to know the Indian voucher method still works fine even after turning off the VPN.

So you can get away with using a VPN for Spotify premium? I'm looking to set top a family account with my family and was unsure if It would work as I travel a good bit for work.

I would say the person't indian spotify will be nuked well before the year is up. I'm having an awful time with usa accounts using voucher codes. Spotify keep nuking them. They really have clamped down.

It seems a legit family account is the way to go! But if you travel it might be an issue maybe if you have a vpn app on your phone keep it running as ireland, then when you get back just use your irish network?

If i was to go legit i'd buy a family tidle account, it's a bit cheaper than spotify. My niigeria one is going with revoluit so far. But i do login now and then with a vpn.

what’s the significance of these vouchers? Is it so you don’t use your card so Spotify don’t recognise it’s you ?
