When two spouses who have the same type of job split up.

I know of many cases in which a husband and wife whose jobs are in the same field of work (e.g. legal, medical, journalistic) and who have children together have split up.

I assumed that spouses who have the same jobs and who have children together would have a lot in common because I believe that people in the fields of work that I mentioned as examples are defined by their jobs.

So how is it that their marriages still didn't work?

I don't think they split up cause they have the same jobs. Maybe it's cause they hate each other and are not having any sex ?

Being married with kids is one of the hardest things you will do....regardless of what jobs you and your spouse do....

Myself and the wife are constantly fighting over small shìt...

I've said it before and I'll say it again, its so easy to be nice to your spouse when theres no kids involved....date nights, lots of holidays swanning off here and there, flowers, cards...the odd ride....once you add kids into the mix, all that shìte goes out the window.....

So it requires alot of hard work and patience to make it work....

That's an interesting question from a different point of view before I met my husband and was on a dating site I had a kind of sixth sense that getting involved with anyone with a similar career or doing the same work wasn't a good idea, you need different conversations and perspectives, different points of view. I am not saying it's the same for everyone.

You need to stop overthinking or coming to conclusions with limited source material.

Every couple I know who have similar, or indeed identical, jobs seem to have very happy and long marriages. These include doctors, solicitors, teachers and engineers.

The reason I find marital break-up in cases where both spouses not only have children together but are also of the same professional background is that I assumed that break-up occurred because one doesn't understand the other's work, i.e. divorced men who are police officers or in the military.
