Hi guys just wondering if people receiving maternity benefit and have other child dependants at home recieved a child dependant rate as well as the basic maternity benefit rate?
I remember filling in the children's details on the form but thought no more of it, until someone told me today that I should have received a payment for them aswell.
I have emailed maternity benefit section to find out but just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? Thanks

The child dependent increase is means tested. So if you have a partner/spouse cohabiting there with you and he or she is employed then their income will have been taken into account and you may not have got anything for the kids as a result.
