Speaker cable recommendation

Hi, we are about to start first fix wiring in a new build house and I plan on having the electrician install speaker cable for surround sound in two rooms as part of the wiring. The cable will run from a few points in the room back to the area where an A/V receiver would be placed (in both rooms). The cables will all be out of sight and run above suspended ceilings and down wall chases so once installed ideally it wont be touched again as it will be very awkward.

I just would like some advice on the best speaker cable to install, I don't currently have a system and this will be purchased at a later date but I would assume a going for a fairly good cable it should work with most/all systems? Thanks.

For installation cable I would recommend the QED QX16 which is priced at 1.65€ per meter.

For a better quality one there is the Kordz One SP142 priced at 4.69€ per meter.

The only other cable you would require is a sublink cable which would connect a subwoofer to an AV receiver.

Hi Kenny, is it possible to order the QX16 in continuous lengths longer than 25m as this is the longest in the drop down box on the website? I need something around 70m overall (need to recheck before placing the order) and ideally one long reel would be the most efficient to avoid wastage when laying/cutting the lengths for the different runs.

You can certainly order longer lengths but we'd probably be best to process the order over the phone.

If you measure up and let us know we can cut the cable to whatever length you need.
