Astra 2011 1.7 screen keeps saying release handbrake

This morning when i got into my car, I released the handbrake but when i moved off, the digital screen on my astras dash started beeping and it said to release the handbrake. I was moving and the actual handbrake light wasnt on in my physical dash, only the screen complained. It went away when i drove but anytime i start to go under 10km it appears again. I was in the car this evening, and same issue. Is this a known issues with astras?

UPDATE: With no help from here I found that the fix was as easy as reconnecting the battery
