Dermot Kennedy Thomond Park - Parking

Any suggestions for parking for Thomond? I meant to buy tickets for the TUS carpark behind the stadium but they are all sold out now. That was my only plan!

Anybody selling a parking ticket by any chance or are there any other suggestions? Travelling from Galway.

City center is about a 25 min walk so you could use any of the car parks there. There would be free on street parking at that time too.

Jetland is another option. About 25 min walk from thomand park as well.

Not saying to do this :-)

But gone to a few Munster games when driving, around the area in the estate you could "rent" a driveway for a specific fee off the residents. Cash and no receipts given but car was always perfect when I returned.

They also seem to have ParknRide before outside of Limerick which you could jump onto

Coming from Galway? Park ,free of charge at the Green Hills Hotel and walk down. 20/25 minutes.

Would they not have restrictions in place on a big night like this? I dont want to be playing it by ear on the night. Sickened I did not get the TUS parking sorted. I booked for Ed Sheeran on the morning of the concert.

No. They are used to cars parking there for matches in the Gaelic Grounds + Munster games in Thomond Park.

I'd be parking 20/25 mins outside the stadium. Traffic (going on Munster matches footfall) will be SLOOOWWW.

I'm not sure how busy "town" would be, parking wise - but you could say park 'on street' around Charlottes Quay (near Hunt Museum), say from 4pm onward with a 2hour/2euro disc (to cover you up to 6pm)? Walk to gig, back to car and then off out the Dublin road with you.

OR park on the opposite side of the city - say in the Jetland. Then from there take the 'ring road' to get yourself on the move toward Dublin (pic below)

I am in the same boat, missed the TUS parking, and Q park all seem to be booked out online too. Is anyone familiar with the aviary car park? It seems like walking distance too.

Of course they dont mind their car park full of non residents !

Dunnes Jetland , Jetland Business Park and alot of the Estates are preventing people parking there for big events.

He's in a hurry to get to Dublin and you want him to park in Jetland! I can't actually think of a worse place for him to park! Son, park in either the Kilmurrry Hotel or Castletroy shopping centre and get the bus in. You'll be parked on the road to Dublin when the concert is over.

Nothing to stop them parking there is true. But a clamp on your wheel will stop them going home.

Off with you. I know the owner and she actually told me they clamped cars in their "Private for guests only" car park. But of course you know better.

I think you're a bit mixed up. The Greenes own that place for the last 50 years and have never clamped anyone going to a match or concert.

Jetland, then over to the tunnell is probably the quickest route to Dublin! You are on the motorway in 5 minutes. You'd be all night getting back over to the lodge.
