Optoma projector comparison

Hi

Time to retire my long service Hitachi projector and was comparing the Optoma HD29HE and the HD145X. Not bothered about 4k, 1080 is fine for me. Biggest thing for me is Lumens. Old one was only around 1200 and these are both over 3000 which will be a huge step up.

Hard to see too much difference between them. Which would you recommend of the two or would you suggest an alternative?

You really can't go wrong with the Optoma projectors, they give an amazing picture and as you say the brightness is great too. I definitely think it's worth going the extra for the HD29HE though as it has a higher contrast ratio of 50,000:1 but is also Rec.709 certified so the colour and motion would be a good upgrade over the HD145X.

I have a few of them in the warehouse at the moment if you'd like to go for one?
