Are company health screens private?

Hello, working in a large company for two and half years.

Got an email today saying as part of our benefits we’re entitled to a health screen

Possible stupid question but I was just wondering, I presume my medical details will all be confidential to me and they won’t be communicated to my employer? Not that there’s anything bad but I don’t like the idea of giving up my privacy like that

Generally, they would be entirely confidential. However, I would request the T&Cs related to the benefit to reassure yourself. It's possible (but unlikely) that they could have a clause allowing the provider to disclose potential impacts on your work availability e.g. they wouldn't be allowed reveal that they found a disease, but they may be able to say that you would likely have to take time off work in the near future. Unlikely, but not impossible.

    Yes they are private.

Guy in work hand one, sent straight to the Dr. Saved his life his blood pressure was so high they found blockages and he was probably going to have a heart attack.

Health screening in my job showed up that I'm a diabetic so it was worth me doing it. Results were private and not shared with the Company.
