Can't find thread

Hi, I recently put researched listings on to a thread regarding outdoor civic areas in Dublin City. I can't find the thread now, was it deleted?

I think it was in after hours, it was someone lamenting the lack of open civic plazas in Dublin. I have a weird fascination with them and posted a comprehensive list of them for people to visit.

OK, we can ask the AH mods for comments

Unfortunately though this is one of those areas where the audit trail of who deleted which threads and when is very poor on this platform. We can access a "change log" where the details will be listed, but that is not searchable and currently runs to over 88,000 entries in date order. This is a major weakness with this Vanilla platform. Hence we are pretty much dependent on a mod remembering what they have done. (and I have acted thousands of times myself as a mod on this platform and remembering everything is a little impractical...)

If the thread is still there though we can still see who deleted posts within the thread

When I search for threads on Boards these times I do it via Google with eg.

I can often come up with what I’m looking for this way.

It would. Looks like it wasn't malicious or vindictive.

This new platform... Sounds like the baker got a new flour mill to supply flour and the new flour isn't working as well. The bread is worse than before. People will move to other bakers to get their bread as they're all aware that there's a new supplier that's not up to scratch.

In my experience it's not unusual, so didn't think there's any point in highlighting it.

The OP of that thread was banned. I think they were a serial re-reg.

They started a number of threads in quick succession and as far as I can tell they were all deleted.

I think this came up before recently and if a poster is sitebanned by mods/admins, all of their posts including threads started by them are automatically deleted.

Another "feature" of vanilla.

It's not automatic, it does require the "delete all content" option to be selected manually. But it's long been the practice to delete the threads of serial re-regs to deny them the attention they crave.
