Thats a shame. But on the plus side, it has saved me splurging on something I really couldn't afford. I'll just spoil the little one with treats and cinema this weekend instead.

Taylor needs to bring this Eras tour to the Sphere in Las Vegas. Period.

And so, 21 months later and the Eras tour has finished earlier this morning in Vancouver. Some run.

Presale for Taylor Swift's next album, The Life of a Showgirl opened up. Just wondering is this how people got a pre sale code for the Eras tour for the last album and if people think it might be the same for this album, assuming she goes on tour at some stage after it's release? I pre ordered the album on cassette just in case and was also just wondering if anyone was able to get a pre sale code this way the last time or if a Vinyl or CD copy of the album had to be bought?

I don't think she will tour this one extensively or at all. A tour will surely be another couple of years away combined with another new album. I mean the scale of the Eras tour took years to organise.

My daughter bought the vinyl for the pre sale code about 18 months before tickets actually went on sale.

This time round she's hesitant to pre pre order. The last time, while spending over the usual price for the album , Taylor then went on to release the album several times (with more codes) but had extra songs on, some had a pack with postcards and poster, different exclusive colour vinyls etc. So the daughter felt a bit ripped off.

You're probably right, a smaller arena tour starting towards the end of 2026 would be great but after the scale of the Eras tour unlikely for another few years

I know, that why I bought the cassette! The price of delivery is as much as the cassette, a vinyl would have been crazy money especially with no guarantee of any codes! Don't want to take a chance and miss out again either on the opportunity to buy tickets if a tour is announced, what you said about buying the album 18 months before getting a code gives some hope!

i could be wrong, but i think if preordered, and then cancelled and got your money back, you still got a code

Probably a lock for Glastonbury in 2027 though. She was supposed to play in 2020 but of course everything was cancelled. And obviously she wasn't gonna interrupt a tour for a Glasto appearance. Performers get about 10% of their regular fee at Glasto and she was playing Dublin then. So wouldn't have made sense financially. Even (especially) if she's not touring in 2027, if she headlined and had a spectacle like Coldplay last year, it would look epic.

Of course she is at her peak and doesn't NEED Glasto or an epic set but it's just one of those things that artists like.

I can't see any future tour having a presale based on this album being pre-ordered.
