Mid Range 55"

Hi,

My Dad is looking for a mid range 55" TV preferably an LG but said he wouldn't mind a Philips as he likes my Philips tv but is used to using the web os system of the LG

Could I get some suggestions please, hoping to order soon.

I think the Philips are the best value for the features you get on them. The Philips have Dolby Vision support as well as an Android operating system so they're great for smart features as well. Your starting point would be the 55PUS7906 which has a native 50Hz panel:

Going up from that though I'd recommend the 55PUS8897 which has a native 100Hz panel and VRR support so it's a bit more future proofed and also has a more stable image for movement on screen:
