Post 2013 single pension scheme public servants

Hi Folks!!

I'm in the public service nearly five years and just realized how terrible the pension is.

I'm part of the post 2013 single scheme. Is anyone here in the same boat? Just have a few questions.

Can you receive jobseekers when you retire ? To bridge the gap until the old age pension.

Is there any possibility in the future when the entire public service is on the scheme that it may be improved?

Why do you expect to retire before you reach pension age?

I agree it's terrible - especially for anyone who enters later in life: they may contribute for ten years, but still only get buttons more that the state pension.

Why would you retire (leave a job) to go on jobseekers? (where one of the conditions is looking for a full time job?)

You can retire early if you are ill and unable to work.
