Anything obvious I am missing? Want to keep DDR5. Will be ordering some items off Amazon.de as much cheaper but just kept all in the UK on PCPartPicker.

Id go with a firecuda over the 980, they have had some issues and are more expensive.

I got the Asus 4070 great card

is it gaming your going doin or?

Mainly gaming! Do a good bit of heavy multi tasking too. Is the 980 gen 4 not good for that price?

I cant rightly remember but i was going to get the 980 myself till i read something about an issue with it shortening its lifespan so i went with the 530 firecudas.

You should check out the i5 aswell i went with a i9 13900k but in hindsight the i5 would have been plenty.

Thats great value though pricewise.

AFAIU there was a firmware update to fix the 980 Pro problems so I'd at least make sure it has a new enough firmware once you get it installed.

Unless you are looking at a better price than I am some Vengence 6400CL32 is €125 on Amazon Germany, slightly faster clock, significantly lower latency and 6400 happens to be the fastest that Z690 board will do (Z790 tends to support faster ram).

Change CPU to AMD 7800X3D on B650 motherboard, use a 40-65eur air cooler, drop to Western Digital SN770 2TB, be quiet Pure Power 12M 850W.

Use all that change to upgrade GPU to RTX 4070 Ti/RX 7900 XT.
