Dolby Atmos height channels

would richersounds recommend in ceiling speakers or bookshelf speakers high up at the ceiling (on the wall not ceiling)for the height channel to go from 5.1 to 5.1.2 or 5.1.4?

If you can fit in ceiling speakers then they are the way to go and will give the best overall Atmos experience.

Monitor Audio C165 priced at 149€ Each would be a nice speaker to add.

If you went for wall mounted then Dali produce the Alteco C1 which are designed as Atmos speakers and can be placed for upward firing or wall mounted.

i was thinking more put fyne speakers 300 or 301 and mounting them close to ceiling and tilt to the listenining position as more a budget option

You will get away with setting it up that way but it is not ideal and will not give the full/proper Atmos feel in my opinion.

Atmos correctly installed should be above you, that is where the in ceilings would come into play.

Most people could not fit in ceiling speakers into their homes so the upward firing Atmos speakers was introduced and while yes bookshelf speakers with the correct tilt will work it is all about placement of said speakers. The Atmos speaker is designed with the correct angle for both wall mounting and sitting flat.

There is also the cheaper upward firing speakers like the Eltax Monitor ATM priced at 159€ Per Pair.

The Fyne F300 and F301 are great speakers and our current deal on them is mega but they may not be the best route for Atmos.
