Import a Moped to Eire

Hi can anybody explain to me how it works i cant find anything on this on the www I am want to import a Gilera DNA (moped) from the netherlands to ireland, but i cant find anything on vrt. i will bring the moped my self, does a moped go for nct as well. thanks for the help in advance

Mopeds and motorclyces will be treated the same for importing purposes. The key question is - is it worth it for a low value bike?

VRT is unlikely to be very expensive depending on the year. Getting it picked up could be just short of €500...

VRT will be €100, less 10% per year. Could be nearly free to VRT it.
