Car going in reverse when in neutral?!

    I bought a PD100 B5 and on the way home from buying it the gearbox went bang and now when I leave the clutch out in neutral in goes backwards.

    I have the gearbox half out of the car, anyone know of anyone this has happened to or anything?


    Any information at all is welcome, thanks.
