Open banking live view feed

Many bookkeeping and accounting softwares offer a live banking feed, to view transactions as they happen, but is there any tech that offers a live view feed of a bank account that isn't contained within a bookkeeping software? The idea is the grant somebody access to view the transactions of a bank account.

What would be the benefit of it? The safest way is to login to the bank online directly. Why not this?
