    Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone can recommend solar lights for back garden. Plan is to use approx 6 lights on adjacent fences and back wall.

Also perhaps if anyone has recommendations for lights to plant along a sleeper too.

I've never had solar lights that lasted more than 18 months.

I agree, they are a one season item and I have tried many kinds, the more expensive actually died first, the Dealz ones have lasted longest!

I have had great success though with some where I could keep the charger sheltered from any wet/rain, they charge through glass/plastic and are working now for their third summer instead of giving up after one. Even the ones I took down last year at end of summer and stored have not fired up this year. I usually open up the charger to see if there is a battery in there and some work again if you change that but invariably water gets into the charger and that;s the end of it.

Got a few years out of Aldi/Lidl? sensor type solar lights, they were pretty good but eventually charging panel clouded over and they don't all work now either.

I love them but they are really a disposable item at this stage which is terrible really from an environmental point of view and also the pocket!
