I'd bet she won't quit her job though. 5 year "career break" to go work in her career in a foreign country, and be back here in the future having held up somebody else's career progression though her selfishness.

Teachers have to be the loudest whingers of the upper working class demographic.

I spent years living abroad in my youth. Enjoy it. No need to put it in a paper though.

So the celtic tiger cubs are finding out life isn't a bed of roses.

No need to go telling the papers they are leaving just go and be done with it.

I am late thirties, we could afford to reasonably rent and go out at their age... if you were young, in their position, would you stay here? LOL!

Honestly, she should leave but not for the reason that other posters are suggesting.

The people thumbing their noses shouting cheerio presumably have children and want them educated, or at the very least should recognise the overwhelming societal good of education.

No, they'd rather see another generation pack up and leave because we're actually mentally and politically defective when it comes to the housing crisis with what it's doing to society.

Good luck to this young lady, and congratulations to Australia, you've just picked up a fine young educator.

OP is right , Dublin became pretty boring due to the high cost and lack of spending power now.
