Normal hoops would be at about 2 metres.

Best of luck with the build. Get the feet set securely and absolutely square to ensure the stress on the plastic is even. And put on the plastic on a nice warm afternoon, with lots of help. And get it as tight as possible.

    What size?

See a right job there by a local lad a six hoop tunnel probably would be 36x14 foot but he built it up with 4 inch blocks on the flat about 18 inches all around and bolted down treated 4x2 Timber. now same lad works on the building so I say the blocks and cement fell in to the back of his van but it's a tidy job, keeping plastic tight is the secret of longevity and put plastic on a worm sunny day.
