Sonos Beam Gen 2

How Soon Is Now

Good morning

Just looking for some advice on the above soundbar. I am currently using a receiver sub 5.1 speakers setup which I bought from yourselves few years ago which I am really happy with! Thing is I'm moving house in the next week or so and from what I know my sitting room is going to be a lot smaller so I'm gonna have to downsize for now unfortunately!

I've never actually had a soundbar myself so not really familiar with how they sound and perform. This particular bar seems to be rated best on most reviews for smaller rooms but I want to find out will it suit my setup first. I will be using it with my LG CX tv PS5 / Series X and probably a pc. I use Netflix Disney Plus and a lot of video content from my computer as well as music on Spotify. My current setup I find perfect with everything I need it for and I'm aware this bar wont match my current setup but for 500 euro I'm hoping its at least up there somewhere ha!

Is the Sonos worth it or should I look at the similar Bose 600?

A soundbar can't quite give the same sound as a 5.1 system but the Sonos Beam is a great soundbar for a small room. The benefit of the Sonos is you can also add on a wireless sub or wireless rears down the line if you did want to beef up the sound a little but on it's own it's more than capable of filling a smaller room plus it's still one of the best sounding small soundbars for both music and movies with very reliable app control.

I'll be in touch just have to sort a few things sus out what kinda space I'm working with in the new room. I'm fairly happy with the beam going by everything I've read online anyway.

Hi HSIN,

Don't mean to jump in without invitation but I've recently purchased an LG TV and Sonos Beam + Sub thanks to Kenny and the team at Richersounds. I have two Sonos Play:1s that I use as surrounds and coupled with the Beam and Sub I have to say the overall experience is amazing!

I am no audiophile but I did have a full 5.1 setup in the same room some years ago but to my ears this setup, particularly with the Atmos / Spatial Audio content on Disney / Netflix, the current Sonos setup is as good, if not better. Couple this with the ease of use and installation then the Sonos is a winner.

10/10 Would recommend!

Thanks for the insight Setanta! Sold my receiver today so I'm gonna go ahead and buy the Sonos on Richersounds website today :-)

Ended up getting the Beam 2 and pair of Era 100 speakers for surrounds. Can't wait to try them out 😀
