Can we teach for more than 22 hours?

    I presume so, but considering most schools would work off a 28 hour timetable for students, there would be limited ability to go between schools and work more than 22 hours, unless the schools coordinate timetables at the beginning of the year. Travel between centres also has to be considered, it might work if they are in the same town, i.e. a convent and CBS as would be common in many Irish towns, but most teachers already on full hours have few gaps on their timetable. I also wouldn't underestimate the need for those free classes to get other stuff done, like photocopying, marking copies etc, rather than racing to another centre to try and do another few hours.

    It is allowed last year and this year as part of the covid measures. We had to register our interest with management in February. I can’t remember what the limit is, but i think it’s 22 hours in the year.
