A nice video here showing some of the old Bus Eireann buses driving around the city. There's some KC's and KR's there and there was at least one KD captured on the video as well. Most of the KD's in Cork with the exception of KD 184 would be withdrawn from service in 1997. KD 184 was eventually withdrawn from service in June 1999. A few of the KC's soldiered on into 2001 before they were moved to school bus duty, and indeed KC 165 remained in service as a city bus until January 2002. The footage bring back some serious nostalgia. I just love listening to that distinctive noise of a KC and KD driving past!
