Walker Tv Channel list

Hey I installed a Walker TV for my grandmother last year and used the in built channel list for satellite channels.

A lot seem to be not working now so I'm assuming they had a reshuffle.

Is there anywhere I can get an updated list? Nothing on the TV itself that I can see offering an update to the list

You have 2 options.

1. Scan the Astra Sats and get all the new channels, it will probably delete the old list.
2. Pay €14.99 for a list download to a USB and load to TV.

Would need actual model number of tv and then get manual online. I help out a neighbour and its something along the lines, menu settings, manual scan, then you get options for aerial , cable, and the sat and then you select astra 28e etc.

I have a recent Walker model TV, all setup with the latest channel updates. I also update a neighbour's Walker TV with the list. Their list is setup for England NW/Granada, where they are from

Hey all,

I'm looking to get a copy of the channel list also for a WP4K55241BRD.

I've an antenna and Sky dish feeding into multi-switch and then distributing to the tv's if that any of any relevance.

Save the file and change the .pdf extension to .sdx

You must change the file extension from .pdf to .sdx

Then transfer to USB stick and upload to a Walker or Toshiba TV.

It's not a pdf document, I changed to pdf to upload it here, boards doesn't allow sdx files to be attached.

You can read the .sdx data using Notepad

Ah all i wanted to do was view it as cousin had engineer out and he erased channels and rescanned to bring them back. He did mention of a purple screen when looking at it and tv not that old.

My new laptop tries to open it immediately in firefox , which hangs of course because its not a real pdf.

I had to close firefox , find the download , then change the file extension.

Once that was done it could be edited in notepad with no issues.

Rather than change the extension to pdf , its probably better to change it to .txt which can also be uploaded and wont result in a browser crash.

Ive re-uploaded as a .txt file.

Hi Cush,

its great that you have provided these updated channel lists for free to others -

One comment - would it be preferred to have the first 5 channels as these in this order:

BBC1

BBC2

ITV/UTV

Channel 4

Channel 5

as all UK EPGs that people may already be used to (Sky UK card, Freesat, Freeview) have the first 5 channels on the list as these (the 5, what at least were considered the main UK channels) …

what do others think?

I think @ The Cush is going above and beyond here , and if you want the channels in a different order , learn how to do it yourself.

Kind of taking the Pi** when you do something for someone for free and get criticised for it I would have thought.

Easy enough for anyone to move a few channels if they wish but for me I've been using this lineup for a few years now and it works for me.
