    Hi all

When I came over our road today there was a fella putting down 2 rubber ropes across our road. I think these are to count cars that pass over them.

Our road is a small a dead end with around 7 houses on it and the recorder is around half way in so it wouldn't be getting all the traffic.

Any ideas what this could be for?

Possibly a traffic survey for someone who is going to apply for planning permission?

As Base said or a survey on the number of cars using the road as part of an overall plan by the council for the road network in the area. Is there any plans for a new road to be built anywhere near.

A young local couple were looking for planning. Neighbour was objecting. It was along a small narrow road. Those vehicle counter strips were put down and the guy objecting spent the weekend driving over and back over the strips. He forgot his 3 kids had gotten planning no bother along the same road.

No new road but there's planning permission close be. It's a tiny road only the width of a car
