Probably near the consumer unit. Near the back door is a frequent spot for them too

Should be a green box or an odd one is a galvanized lid

It's not always obvious. Sometimes it gets covered over with cement/stone/bricks/shyte. You may need to try follow the earthwire, if you can see where it routes down from the meter box.

It could be near the meter cabinet too that would be a handy place to drop the wire

Yeah. Mostly near the outside meter cabinet.

it used to be in a galvanised metal box too so may not be green

post a photo of the inside of your meter cabinet as there may be an earth rod cable going through it.

Look on the ground, below the meter cabinet. There should be a small square cover, usually green plastic, set into the concrete / tarmac / cobbles etc. You won't see the box as such, that's set into the ground, all you'll see is the cover with some screws to hold it in place.

They didn’t route it through the meter box so

that cpc(main earth) looks undersized also.

simplest solution is to drop another earth rod. It’s supposed to be accessible for inspection

ask a neighbour where theirs are located to give you an indication
