    Hi,

I am a home owner of a council home that needs lots of improvements. Does anyone know if it's possible to sell half your home back to the council and pay rent?

    Thanks

Thankfully the answer is no although maybe if you qualify for social housing, you could sell the house to the council and continue to live there. But otherwise no, you can't sell half your house.

Get a loan and use that to pay for the works, or just pay for each of them one at a time in order of priority and save up for them

Confirm your email address so you can post properly, then I'll move this to a forum that's actually related to the topic instead.
