Nissan connect not recognising vin. Can't use app to monitor charges etc

The app is both shïte and unreliable. Mine worked at first but stopped after a few months.

Leaf comes in a number of versions. Some come with connection services and others don't. You don't say which one you have.

If those services are specified in your car than it should work, and the dealer should sort it out for you.

If the services are not installed, then you will not be able to contact the car using the app.

It's true that the Nissan app is shite and the connectivity with their server is flaky at best.

However, once it's been set up on the Nissan infrastructure, you can use another app (MyLeaf) which works much more reliably for the basic stuff like remote HVAC and remote charging.

While the app is shite, the ability to start warming the car when it's -6 outside from the comfort of the bed at 6 a.m. is a massive win...

Which app are you using? Last I checked there was Nissan connect and Nissan Connect EV. DOnt use the EV one. I had this problem and had to bring the leaf to the dealer to get it sorted.

You would have to be able to connect in the first place.
