Domestic 3 Phase Connection

I am wondering if it is possible to get a domestic 3 phase connection?

I have a need to pull down about 50kw - 90kw over a three hour period and from I understand I need a three phase connection for this.

    I have a few questions

    1) Is this possible?

    2) Will my standing charge increase?

    3) Will I still get domestic unit rates?

    Any comments appreciated.

    it certainly is possible.

If you have a connection greater than 29 kVA, three phase or otherwise, you will be categorized as commercial (DG5).

This upgrade will be expensive to have installed.

Thanks for the info. Is it possible to get a 29KVA connection on single phase then or will that be 3 phase? Definitely dont want to get into a business connection!

Typically it would be three phase but it might not be.

what is the point in 29 kVA If you need 90+ kW for your requirement?

There used to be a 20 and a 29 KVA single phase , I presume there still is

You'd get those supplies off the 2-wire MV lines out the country if there was no 3P

All depends what's available and the loads you have 1P or 3P

[The MIC for an application is the maximum demand in KW *1.05 and divided by the pf according to ESBN

Maximum demand is the maximum load averaged over 10 minutes]
