A beginner darts player

I'd love to get into darts. Should i just contact my local pub team or do you need to be experienced for that?

I wouldn't want to be getting in the way and ruining it for experienced players.

If I was to go down to the local pub team would you get to practice with other beginners or how do these things work ?

Any help or advice greatly appreciated

In my experience, any pub team would be happy to welcome a beginner player. Obviously you may not play too often in actual competitive matches until you improve but that's the same in any sports team. You would of course get to practice with the team and improve as you play.

I would also highly recommend putting up a board in your own house and practicing as much as possible. There are a number of apps where you can play against the computer and there are also websites where you can play against real players over the internet, n01 Online (nakka.com) being the easiest one as you don't need a webcam.

Just practice, practice, practice and have fun!

It's impossible to recommend darts really, it's all personal preference and what feels best for you. The only think I'd say about those Chizzy darts is that they are brass darts. You really should be looking to get a set of tungsten darts as they are usually thinner than brass darts and generally fly better through the air.

You really just need to try out a few different sets and see which ones suit your grip/throw the best and what weight suits you. Also you don't need to buy darts that are endorsed by a pro player, they tend to be more expensive.

I'm currently messing around - round the world games- in a friend's house 2/3 times a week. Would just love to get more into it and please baby Jesus just improve!!!
