CVRT: Pass advisory on tyres for age.

When I had my pickup tested for CVRT last year, I received a pass advisory over the age of the tyres. The were six years old at the time.

I’m due a test next month so the tyres will be seven years old. However they’re in perfect condition, no defects, and there is plenty of thread depth, about 2mm.

Will I just receive a pass advisory again?

I wouldn't call 2mm plenty. It may meet the legal requirements but unless your car can swim it's about time to look for new tyres if you want to be able to drive it in the rain safely.

You’ll get an advisory again but do yourself a favour and get 4 decent tyres on it.

Yes. You can rack up an unlimited number of advisories for unlimited duration if you wish

Not much difference between legal limit of 1.6mm & 2mm. Unless you're measuring from the top of the wear marker?
