I wrote to the department last week and requested that it should be mandatory for each contestant to summarise any 3 Shakespeare plays of their choice in under 600 words. One each from comedy, history or tragedy.

I have yet to hear from them.

i am not surprised, any idea contributing towards teenage student initiative has been scoffed at for almost a century now?

Thanks very much. I was trying to find out which one was being done in2024. When I was doing it there used to be play specific questions on each years exam and everyone would have to do a specific play. Like one year it was romeo and julier, the next year merchant of Venice etc and it went in cycles of 4 years.
