How you describe this haircut to a barber? I said mid skinfade on one occasion and it was right but the next time it was different..cheers

Good idea. I have asked for the exact same thing every time i have gotten my haircut for the past 20 years, and each time the cut is different.
Visuals are much better than words for this, as different people interpret words in different ways.
