to get the DART from Connolly (to howth) is it necessary to go through the main concourse or is there a separate entrance off Amiens St to go straight to the DART platforms. it is a number of years since I travelled from Connolly but I will be getting a DART this evening (with bike) and may be tight for time so it would be helpful to know in advance the quickest way to get to the relevant platform..

Main concourse is the only option unfortunately, there's an entrance on Amiens street but that just leads to the stairs/escalators which bring you up to the main concourse.

The old DART entrance on Ameins Street is now offices.

As part of the Dart+ West Railway Order, a new entrance is planned on Preston Street (off Amien Street). They intend opening up all the arches under the platform concourses with shops, bike storage etc.

This will enable quicker access to the Dart platforms from Amien Street / Fairview direction and also quicker access from Intercity platforms (1 to 4) over to Dart platforms (5 to 7).

    But right now, nope.

Something to look at later on the train!
