Outdoor LED floodlight from halogen light

Hi all, plan on changing my old halogen lights to LED. Was looking at a few led lights and I noticed they are prewired wired with an earth light unlike the holgen used to be. I'm confused, try that first part again?
Any outdoor accessory which has a metal shell should have an earth. Do you have earth running to the existing halogen lights?

Yes sorry opened up one of my halogen lights after and it's earthed. They weren't pre wired but there in donkey years.
Can change them out now, hopefully the LEDs will be a good job.
