Cutting decking boards with hand saw

    My next project is to build a deck. I have a good barracuda hand saw and a good back saw. The width of the deck is the same as the length of the boards. I’d like to avoid having to hire an electric saw since there isn’t much cutting involved. What kind of board can I put on the sides of the decking that need a 45 cut at the corners? Can I make these cuts with a mitre box and the back saw?
