I just had a quick look at the website. I've never used them before, and to be quite honest I've read a lot of negative stuff about them in the past year. I can see there is a "Manage My Booking" section - have you tried using that to cancel it? Also have a look at the cancellation policy in the Ts&Cs if you haven't already. A quick scan of it myself shows that the deposit is non-refundable and you may even have to pay more fees to cancel it if you went with their "low deposit" scheme. You're most likely bound to those fees and non-refundable deposit and there may not be much you can do about getting it back since you're cancelling the booking yourself.

They have a phone number and you must supply a reference number. But they will only talk to a reference number that is due to fly out within four weeks. So I am Excluded.

    Excluded.

I cannot contact them. All the channels are governed by the reference number.

In manage my booking They have options to communicate for everything except what I want again governed by the reference number.

they have options to communicate for everything except what I want.

They have a cancellation policy which States that in the case of a natural disaster a full refund will be Provided

But I cannot contact him direct. Has anybody got an email for them

What part of Turkey? The normal holiday coast (i.e. Izmir around to Antalya) is a loooooooong way away from the quake zone.

As far as I know, the likes of loveholidays and onthebeach just book flights with ryanair/easyjet etc. as part of their deals. I would really doubt they would be refundable for a change of mind. I know when I was pricing stuff earlier in the year, both sites were showing me the same low cost carrier flights as part of their packages. I must look at details though as that's just an assumption on my part.

    Edit - https://www.loveholidays.com/faq/questions/how-do-i-cancel-my-booking-and-what-will-the-charges-be/

As expected, flights and transfers not refundable. Hotel is a possibility. If the destination is on the West coast, I would doubt that'll fall into their natural disaster policy, could be wrong. Insurance claim maybe?

We have booked Kudsadasi for this April with loveholidays and would not recommend them to my worst enemy. Our holiday was grossly missold to begin with. You may get use to being 320 in the webchat queue and then they will tell you to lodge yur complaint via ' manage my booking' yet when you tell them there is no way to lodge a complaint there... they literally ignore those comments and leave almost five minutes at a time between each web comment in the hope you will get pee'd off and f''k off. Disgusting despicable humans that engage in such behaviours! We are trying to move our flights to anywhere else and it is costings minimum extra 670euro to do so! we will then have to try to change hotels and even though we were sold a hotel on a waterpark which transired to be a hotel near a closed waterpark they informed us we will absolutely be charged to change. I have reported them to the Advertising standards authority of Ireland because if they intend to act rogue they should not be allowed to trade here. I read reviews of people that landed at our hotel only to find the waterpark closed and not on site as implied at all. They have complained to hotel and loveholidays and yet still they continue to mislead people. The more people that complain about this company this less chance they have of continuing their behaviour. The people that work there allow it to happen. There are plenty of other jobs for that salary that dont involve selling your soul to the devil and without these minions abusive companies could not exist!

If people didn't continue to book with these shonky online 'travel agents' , they wouldn't exist.

  • My inclination is this: don’t worry unduly about the earthquake situation. The holiday areas are usually fine, and it’s almost always the poor residents who have suffered by lack of earthquake construction standards. The resorts are away from worst earthquake prone areas. Of course the entire area is full of fault zones, including Greece, but tourists mostly have not been affected. A lot of the buildings which have been tragically affected are the high rises where people live. The resorts tend to be very deliberately low rise.

Turkey is a wonderful place, some fantastic airports where dual airbridges are the norm, even for Ryanair. Roads are good, it’s very clean, you can drink the water. People are incredibly kind to animals, and the plentiful “feral” dogs are very safe and friendly, being fed and petted daily by locals. It’s a great country full of humanity, where all life is valued.

i recently booked a holiday with above provider. I opted for the pay in instalments options after paying a deposit of €118. Through my own stupidity I obviously didn’t read the T&Cs of cancelling. I then found out the week I booked the holiday for, myself and my partner have a wedding to attend. I tried to cancel the holiday expecting I would lose my 118 which wasn’t a problem. Love holidays are now looking for over €500 to cancel. What would happen if I just cancelled my card and they can’t get anymore payments? Will it automatically cancel itself?

That won't work. You've made a contract with them agreeing to their terms and conditions. Expensive lesson.

They are cheaper than others for booking but found them a complete knighmare to deal with if you have any queries or want to cancel a booking.

Lost a deposit on a booking so thankfully it was small.

Well they have your details so they will chase you for it. The flights they book are with the non-refundable low cost airlines so these need to be paid for. I'm actually surprised their deposits aren't higher due to this. I don't know the ins and outs of Irish credit scoring and getting judgements against but if it was here in the UK I definitely wouldn't be putting my head in the sand.
