Size of Ryanair's 10kg check in bag

Hi,

Ryanair say in their website that the 10kg check in bag must have the same dimensions as the carry on 10 kg bags. Is this enforced though? Last time I used the self serve baggage kiosks and the dimensions were not checked at all, only weight. Can anyone confirm that the 10kg check in bag can be bigger than the carry on bags?

Just back from Stansted, every bag that looked oversized was checked and extra had to be paid if it was.

That's not what they're asking though.

I'm not absolutely certain, but I very much doubt the 10 kg checked bag has to be the same size as the 10 kg carry-on bag.

I was on four Ryanair flights in the last two weeks and checked a 10kg back for each.

The bag I used was way bigger than one that would be allowed for carry-on.

Maxium of 35L backpack/bag for the 10kg Ryanair carry on and must fit in the frame at the gate, once the weight is the same for check in bag then the dimensions don't matter... anything exceeding that will cost you..
