Replacing missing house plans

    Hello,

I've had a letter from y insurers saying my house may be underinsured, as prices of building materials etc. have gone up due to the COLC! I imagine other property owners have receeived similar.

I have spoken to my brokers and just need the dimensions of my house which would be on the plans. I know I have them but can't find them so my question is, whom do I need to contact to get replacement house plans?

I have the title deeds and the Land Registry document but this only shows the plot, not the dimensions of the actual house. Anyone know whom I should contact or what I need to do? Thanks

Get a tape and measure. A couple of minutes will do it.

If you still need the actual floor plans then either contact the original architect or try your local planning office. Slight possibility that your solicitor would have a copy.

Go onto your council's eplan planning website and find your house/development and view the documents/plans. If there's no documents available then note the planning number and ask in your county buildings.

What's wrong with a measuring tape?
