Adding a Handle to a 'Handless' Kitchen Cabinet Door

HI.... we recently upgraded our Kitchen and went modern with a Handless kitchen door option... they open using your fingers on a groove on the door. (could be top, side or under the door)

Originally - we were putting in an Amercian Fridge/freezer but at last minute went with subsituting this for an Integreted Fridge and a separate Integrated Freezer and added 2 x Cabinet doors onto same to keep in line with rest of the kitchen.

Now six months down the line ... we are feeling that the Freezer and the Fridger are just too hard to open (cos of the strong suctions on both when closed) using the grooves and fingers option.... and so am looking at putting on handles to help with this.

Ideally - would just like to add handles to these 2 x cabinets.... and so find something 'sleek' that could fit into the kitchen image. To put just 2 x 'square' handles might look ok - but to make kitchen 'even' i might have to do same for all the other drawers and cabinets and then this changes the whole look of the kitchen.

Just looking for thoughts here... anyone else ever had same problem ??

    Any help would be welcomed....

Never did it but from your description I wouldn't add them to all doors or as you say it will totally change the look of kitchen if you are happy with handleless style. I'd add those very long bar handles to just the ones you need, they don't really look like kitchen door handles at all imo and think you'd get away with something like that on the two doors. Not a handle I'd normally like but could be best for problem.

Something like this, longer the better probably. https://www.screwfix.ie/p/smith-locke-t-bar-pull-handle-brushed-nickel-432mm/5794V?tc=EI5&gclid=Cj0KCQiArsefBhCbARIsAP98hXRCbjaIM_8aqe4qbBngkz_cFZFkqGDA_m9qLBJDCKqYbX08g6r1OWIaAl18EALw_wcB&gclsrc=aw.ds

Could work unless they stick out further than the average handle, you don't want something you can be banging into when passing unit, you'd be using the space a lot more than the average wardrobe area. It's hard to tell from the pic but the hand grip bit too would want to be rounded where your fingers grip rather than squared edges as again not that comfortable if you are using it a lot.

It's along the right lines though, you need something that is not the standard kitchen door handle so that when there is just a couple it doesn't look like the rest of the kitchen is missing handles.

I think I am in the same position as OP.

Below is my pic showing my integrated Freezer (the double doors are connected on inside and just open by grabbing the grove under the upper door) my integrated Fridge next and then a double Larder .

looking at putting 3 by long handles on these 3 cabinets only I see Phormium recommendation above but wondering if the silver option would suit this Sage Green kitchen OR is there another option

    thanks for looking
