External insulation Question

I'm trying to ascertain what is the thickness of external wall insulation, including everything, i.e. how many cm from existing wall to final render. Also, does it vary depending on contractor? Tommy

It depends. Most external wall quotes will be for 100mm insulation unless you specify you want more as this is the minimum for retrofit.
The minimum for new buildings is 150; so you should consider this.
You should add 15 - 20 mm to the final depth depending on the system in use.
